Pink Pearl Gymnastics (Homeschool Program) has been teaching Gymnastics to local students since 2007. Over the years we have motivated our students and followed their school progress with their parents. Since the COVID epidemic we personally have seen the struggles of our students to keep up on their school work. Many parents started talking about Home schooling. Recently the state of Virginia passed legislation also acknowledging this set back in educational skills and set up funding for any student (Parent) who wants their child to excel. They named it the learning acceleration grants https://www.doe.virginia.gov/parents-students/for-parents/k-12-learning-acceleration-grants , and recognizes that our students need an opportunity to catch up and then get ahead. While these grants are not currently available it shows that Virginia is concerned about helping our children get back on grade level skills. At Pearl Academy we are here trying to help parents with reasonable rates for our version of home school to accelerate the learning of our students.
Our Head coach at Pink Pearl Gymnastics has her M Ed. in literature and language; because of her education level and her gymnastics competitive career she was enticed away from teaching grade school and asked to teach competitive gymnastics at the highest levels. After moving to America and working for a local competitive gym she opened Pink Pearl Gymnastics. Our concern for the children of our gym caused us to open Pearl Academy where we will combine athletics (gymnastics nature) with learning grade school level subjects. Many people are considering Homeschooling their children but either don’t know how to start or have misgivings about starting. At Pink Pearl we decided to purchase a top-of-the-line curriculum and offer our facility as a homeschooling program. We can help you achieve your goals of getting the best education for your children. A homeschooling program could be your answer especially a summer bridge to help them know their last years subjects and get a hread start on next years topics.
